UConn Hartford Scholarships

Deadline to Apply: April 5, 2025

Academic Scholarship

Ten $1,000 Scholarships are available.

Requirements:

  • UConn Hartford undergraduate student
  • Completed a minimum of 45 credits
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Declared a major in one of UConn Hartford’s degree programs or a minor in Public Policy
  • Faculty or staff nomination letter
Apply for the Academic Scholarship

First-Generation Scholarship

Ten $1,000 Scholarships are available.

Requirements:

  • UConn Hartford undergraduate student
  • First-generation college student
    i.e. Your parent(s) did not complete a 4-year college or university degree, regardless of other family members’ level of education.
  • Completed at least one semester at UConn Hartford
  • Taking at least 50% of this semester’s classes or credits at UConn Hartford
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Completion of the application essay(s)

CAPS/SSS Scholarship

Five $1,000 Scholarships are available.

Requirements:

  • UConn Hartford (originated) SSS student
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Faculty or staff nomination letter
Apply for the CAPS/SSS Scholarship

Summer Scholarship

Five $2,000 Scholarships are available.

  • UConn Hartford undergraduate student
  • Enrolled in at least one summer class at any UConn campus
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Faculty or staff nomination letter
  • Special consideration given to seniors
