Students must be attending the Hartford Campus for the academic year in which they are awarded (e.g., Fall semester). The only exception is Summer Scholarships.
Check-in with the Office of Financial Aid at UConn to ensure that receiving a scholarship will not negatively affect you financially or your financial aid package.
UConn Hartford Academic Scholarship
- $500-$1500
- Must be a UConn Hartford Undergraduate Student
- Must have completed + 45 credits
- Must have a GPA 3.0 or higher
- Must have declared a major in one of degree programs at UConn Hartford: Business, English, Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS), Individualized and Interdisciplinary Studies Program, Psychology, Social Work, Urban and Community Studies; *or* a minor in Public Policy

UConn Hartford First Generation Student Scholarship
- $1000
- Must be a UConn Hartford Undergraduate Student
- Must be a first -generation college student
(Being a first-gen student means that your parent(s) did not complete a 4-year college or university degree, regardless of other family member's level of education)
- At least 50% or more classes or credits are registered this semester at Hartford campus
- GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Completion of at least one semester at UConn Hartford
- Must complete application essay/s
UConn Hartford SSS Scholarship
- $1000
- Must be a UConn Hartford (originated) SSS Student
- Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Must complete application essay/s
UConn Hartford Summer Scholarships
- $1800
- Must be a UConn Hartford Undergraduate Student
- Demonstrate financial need
- Must be enrolled in at least one summer class at any UConn campus
- Special consideration given to seniors
- Must complete application essay
UConn Hartford Life Transformative Education (LTE) Scholarships
There are three scholarships in this area for which students can apply:
UConn Hartford Community and Cultural Immersion Scholarship
(e.g., UConn alternative break, experiential global learning, urban semester program fees)

- Must be volunteering or interning in a non-profit or profit organization without pay
- Special consideration will be given to students who are completing internships that have a direct impact on the local community
