Introduction

Dating to 1939 as an extension program of the University, the Hartford Branch became officially recognized in 1946. Now the Greater Hartford Campus, we serve approximately 1,200 undergraduate students and specialize in high-quality, professionally relevent education in an intimate classroom environment. Also home to important graduate programs including the prestigious School of Social Work and the Department of Public Policy, the campus offers an extensive range of courses,world-class professors, and research oppurtunities designed to enrich the college experience.
