Disasters
Chemical Spill:
Call 911 or from campus phones 8-911.
Call UConn Police at 570-5173 or from campus phones 8-570-5173.
Follow recommendations of the Fire or Police Department.
If evacuation of the building is necessary, follow the fire evacuation procedures.

Fire, Smoke, Explosion:
Activate alarm
Call 911 or from campus phones 8-911.
Call UConn Police at 570-5173 or from campus phones 8-570-5173.
Staff and faculty exiting the building should knock on any closed doors making people aware of the alarm.
All students, faculty and staff members present should respond to the alarm and evacuate.
Once outside the building, inform firefighter if someone with a disability is in the building.

Water Leakage:
Identify leak and contact the Facilities Operations at 570-9004 between the hours of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. or the UConn Police at 570-5173 after 4 p.m.

Weather or Acts of Nature:
Tornado/high wind taking place during work/school day: move to a place with no windows, preferably a small-sized room such as a bathroom. Sit with your back pressed against a strong wall. Protect head and face by covering them with your arms.
